Are there hotel accomodations?

Yes, we have hotel rooms reserved at Graduate East Lansing. A reservation link will be update here shortly.

Will there be transportation?

Yes, we understand the hotel area is around 30 minutes from the venue. We will be providing shuttles to and from the venue for our guests. Please check back here for updated information about the shuttle schedule.

Where is the venue located?

Our ceremony and reception will be held at Wester’s Family Vineyard and Winery, formerly known as Black Barn Vineyard and Winery. The venue is located just 15 minutes from Jackson, MI.

What should I expect after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, the immediate family will take photos while the rest of our guests will transition to the outdoor cocktail hour area. Please enjoy drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and games provided during this time.

Will the entire wedding be outdoors?

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. Dinner and dancing will be held inside the venue. We expect to see everyone on the dance floor!

What is the weather like?

While we can’t predict the weather, Michigan in June typically ranges from 70–80°F during the day and 50–60°F at night. We’ll update this section closer to the wedding as the date approaches.

Are kids welcome?

We adore all of your kiddos! However, for this evening we’ve decided to keep our ceremony and reception adults only, with the exception of our flower girl and ring bearer. We hope you understand and enjoy a night off. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Where should I park?

There will be plenty of free parking available in the lot inside the venue entrance.

Is there a dress code?

Yes! We want everyone dressed their best for our special day. We request semi-formal attire, such as cocktail, semi-formal, or formal dresses and suits. You may wear any color you like, but please avoid white or similar shades. No jeans or casual clothing, please.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place on grass, so please keep that in mind when choosing your footwear. For the ladies, we’ll be providing heel caps to help keep heels from sinking into the lawn.

Can I bring a gift to the wedding?

If you wish to bring a gift or card, there will be a gift table near the entrance for your convenience.

We are currently registered at Crate and Barrel. You can visit our registry here.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, the drinks are on us, the hangover is on you. So get ready to celebrate!

Can I bring a date?

Our venue has a strict capacity limit, so plus-ones are by invitation only. You’re welcome to bring a date if a +1 is specified on your invitation.

What do I do if I can't make it?

You will be dearly missed! Please use our online RSVP to respond accordingly. If you can't update the response for some reason, please email us at: boilermakers0518@gmail.com as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.
